First, back up that file and go to town on it. You can do this through Vortex, but vortex takes ram (and I have a lower end system) so I just do it manually with the plugins.txt file. On crashes the fastest thing for me to do is get a save right before the crash, then disable mods in a systematic mode. I can't play without this now, and it adds so much to the enjoyability to the game!

Thanks again for your help, i appreciate it do you know of any particular way to find out which mods are conflicting that i may be able to temporarily disable that mess up with Valkyrie quest? Or it mightve just been me shooting the dog that did it, i just dont know.ĭidnt know if there was some way for the game to give me an error message like "this conflicted with this so disable one of these and the other should work fine".

Ive been playing on Hard and it was getting kinda stupid easy, i was just mowing over mobs but with these enhanced spawning systems im legit having to fight for my life now lol.Īctually im trying to do Project Valkyrie right now and when i got to the hospital in the questline my game crashed as i was shooting an attack dog. I kinda went mod crazy today and got like 120 of them installed - game looks so much better and runs smoother, plus got unique monsters and stuff now too. Is there some specific way i have to do this to get the DLC to link into Vortex? I wouldnt mind so much but alot of the other mods im installing are getting errors cause the DLC isnt there.Ĭan someone give me a quick explanation on how to do this? Thanks so much for your time, i know people ask Vortex questions alot but this just really has me stumped When i click install on any of the files, theyre all still listed under the downloads tab, but when i try to 'install' a ba2 or main or esp, i get an error saying "can not open this file as archive" So - I grouped the files for each one together (Nuka World and Far Harbor's esp and ba2 files, etc) and clicked and dragged them to the "drop URL(s) or File(s)" and it seemed like Vortex was assembling them together. but the DLC files are from my pancake Fallout 4 folders, obviously not on Nexus mods cause thatd be illegal. I decided to learn some Vortex, watched some videos on youtube and am having no problems downloading Mods from Nexus now. long story short, I overmodded and kinda ruined my game, was getting glitchy textures i couldnt fix, etc. Originally, i had been manually modding cause I didnt understand Vortex at all and understood manual modding to some degree. Sorry to bug you guys with this - i know theres lots of questions about Vortex floating around and I was having trouble getting my Nuka World and Far Harbor DLC to work in Vortex.
